Now's your chance to be taught by one of the most experienced drone pilot in the industry. Mat has taught thousands of pilots over the past 15 years and has been involved with many high profile projects. During your one on one time with him, he will outline everything you need to enter the Canadian drone market as a legal and safe operator. Mat covers operational procedures, airspace coordination, legislative requirements, emergency management, maintenance, travel, storage and care of your drone. At the conclusion of your session, Mat will then arrange to meet with you a second time to complete your in-person flight review so that you can operate as a Small Advanced RPAS pilot!
See the steps below to help you prepare, register and pay for your Small Advanced Pilot certification.

You will be provided with a number of digital training resources that you will review prior to the session. During this time, you may contact us if you have any questions or require further clarification.

We will meet and spend approximately 6 hours to go over the material previously sent to you. This will help to clarify any questions you may have and to discuss the important elements of flying safely and legally in Canadian Airspace.

Weather pending, we will complete approximately 2 hours of hands on flight training. Don't have a drone? Not a problem, BlackHawk will supply a registered drone for your hands on flight training.

At the conclusion of our training session, you will write your online Transport Canada Small Advanced Exam and prepare for your in person flight review. The review itself will be scheduled for another time to give you enough time to prepare.
