Pilot, radio control enthusiast, photographer, safety professional. A perfect storm as they would say. Having been exclusively involved with the above both professionally and personally for over 40 years, Mat has perfected his skills into what is known as "One of the Best".
To become one of the best, it takes passion, knowledge and a unique but dynamic set of skills. Having been involved with radio controls, cameras & drones since the early 80's, Mat is considered as one of the pioneers in the drone industry. Mat currently holds a Small Advanced RPAS (drone) Pilot Certificate, is among one of the top drone instructors in the country and is among a small handful of individuals in the country that is authorized to certify new drone pilots as a Transport Canada Flight Reviewer.
Mat has travelled the world on various drone assignments including National Geographic, NBC News and Red Bull. Locally, Mat has worked with large corporations including but not limited to PCL Construction, Ledcor, and the RCMP. He continues to work as the exclusive drone pilot for the Oilers Entertainment Group and has worked with national recording artists including Garth Brooks.
