RedBull Crankworx - whistler, BC
BlackHawk Aeronautical Solutions Inc. was recently invited to provide live FPV coverage of the 20th Anniversary edition of the Redbull Crankworx in Beautiful Whistler, BC! During the final event known as Joyride, BlackHawk utilized an FPV (First Person View) drone to chase athletes down the hill as they performed incredible tricks through the air. Televised on Redbull TV for almost 100K viewers and almost 25,000 spectators on the hill, this was one of the most technically challenging events we have ever flown for.
2025 iihf world juniors, ottawa
For the first time in World Junior Hockey history, a drone was utilized inside the Canadian Tire Center to provide live drone coverage of the semi finals, bronze medal and gold medal games. Working alongside TSN, BlackHawk flew 4 games providing live drone video that was woven throughout the broadcast. The environment was extremely challenging, but we were able to capture these games and provide footage to the viewership that was never seen before!
CFL Edmonton Elks - EDMONTON, AB
BlackHawk Aeronautical Solutions Inc. supported the live and in house broadcast of all Edmonton Elks home games at Commonwealth Stadium for 2024 and 2025. A first in the CFL, BlackHawk used a drone to cover game play directly on the field. Capturing live a video feed from the drone, TSN was able to provide the broadcast audience with an immersive dynamic view of the game never seen before. 2024 & 2025 NHL STANLEY CUP FINALS - EDMONTON, AB
BlackHawk Aeronautical Solutions Inc. worked with the NHL during the 2024 and 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs for the Edmonton Oilers. During this time, we provided live coverage of the games including the Oilers Watch Parties, Military fly bys and the outdoor concerts including Shania Twain and Loud Luxury, Triumph, Arkells and James Barker Band.
rugby canada - EDMONTON, AB
For the first time in Rugby Canada history, BlackHawk Aeronautical Solutions Inc. provided live drone coverage of the two rugby matches against Belgium and again against Spain. Blackhawk offered unique never seen before perspectives of various plays which were broadcast both live on National television as well as in house for the spectators.
EDMONTON riverhawks baseball - EDMONTON, AB
BlackHawk Aeronautical Solutions Inc. provided live drone coverage of all 2025 home games for the Edmonton Riverhawks. All games were broadcast both in-game as well as live on the Riverhawks YouTube channel.
2023 NHL Heritage classic - EDMONTON, AB
BlackHawk Aeronautical Solutions Inc. worked directly with the National Hockey League to provide live drone coverage of the 2023 Outdoor Heritage Classic game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames. Throughout the duration of the game, live shots of Commonwealth Stadium and the game were broadcast live by our drone pilots.
EDMONTON STINGERS basketball - EDMONTON, AB
BlackHawk Aeronautical Solutions Inc. covered all home games for the 2023 and 2024 Edmonton Stingers Basketball seasons and will be back again for the 2025 season! This was a highly technical assignment due to flying indoors and being within close proximity to the game and its fans. All coverage was completed safely and as a result, it is expected that we may be covering the 2025 season home games.
